7) For less than 4 camera operation: Remove the power pack from the wall outlet and
then remove the cover of the ARS unit. With the ARS front panel facing you, on the far
right side you will see a set of 4 miniature switches. For each unused camera input,
set the switch associated with that input number to the on position. This will “lock out”
the unused input when you step through the cameras.
Operation:
1) Plug the power pack into the ARS unit and then connect it to the AC outlet. Verify that
the power indicator lights are on.
2) To check each camera, you can connect a test monitor to the #4 output. Pushing the
front panel button will step through each camera as you push it. On the ARS-414, all of
the monitors will change to the same image as you step through each one. On the
ARS-4000 only the #4 output will change.
3) When an alarm closure is detected, all of the monitors on both models will display the
camera on the alarmed input. The alarm input selected will remain on until a step pulse
is detected from a button.
4) To select a camera at any monitor location, simply push the momentary NO button as
many times as required to display the desired camera. As specified, the ARS-414 will
have all of the monitors changing together when a button is pushed at any monitor
location. The ARS-4000 will only change at the monitor location that is associated with
the button that is pushed.
