assembly
note:
As soon as the solar panel is exposed to artificial light or sunlight, the leads will become
live. This is especially important to remember when connecting several solar panels to-
gether. To avoid short circuits when assembling and connecting solar panels, turn them
away from light sources or cover them so that they do not produce electricity during the
actual connection procedure.
• The solar panel is designed especially to mount flat onto most any surface such as
boat decks, caravan roofs, etc. They can be tread upon lightly, but one should still
exercise care when doing so to avoid possible damage.
• The solar panels can also be bent slightly to fit surfaces which are not perfectly flat.
• Mount the solar panel by using outdoor screws/plugs for fastening into the mounting
holes at the corners of the solar panel and onto the mounting surface.
Avoid drilling additional holes into the solar panel’s frame.
• Never attempt to divide or disassemble the panel.
• Do not place heavy or sharp objects on the solar panel as these can scratch and
damage the product.
• If the solar panel is shaded its power output will be significantly diminished. Choose
a location for the panel with as little shade as possible.
connecting
The solar panel has two connecting wires, red and black. The red wire is + (positive)
and the black wire is – (negative). The red wire is labelled with a (+) symbol. The
solar panel should be connected to a battery system via a charge regulator.
