4.2 Air Intake Filter
In normal circumstances the air intake filter element
should be checked after every 2,500 hours service.

may be necessary .
4.2.1 To Remove the Air Filter Element
The compressor must be stopped.

cover.
2.
Remove the filter element.

Clean out the inside of the intake silencer.
4.2.2 To Clean the Element by Air Blast
The compressor must be stopped.
1.
Using an air line supplying dry, low-pressure air
(max. 5 bar) carefully blowout the inner cavity
of the element, ensuring that the air stream
passes through the element from inside to
outside.
2.
When all contamination has been removed,
inspect the element for cracks, holes or other
damage by viewing the light from a hand lamp
through the element or holding the element up
against a light source.
3.
If any damage is evident the element must be
discarded and a new one fitted.
4.
Re-install the clean/new element in the intake
silencer.
