c. If the arrow on the belt lock-off is not pointing in the correct direction, it must be
rotated so it points toward the vehicle buckle

d. Once the belt lock-off is in position pointing toward the vehicle buckle, open the belt
lock-off by lifting locking tab and then belt lock-off cover

e. Place vehicle lap belt and shoulder belt under both belt path tabs and through belt
lock-off

Tighten vehicle belt to secure the base. Press down in center of base to depress the
vehicle cushion while tightening vehicle belt

Close belt lock-off over seat belts closing belt lock-off cover first and then the locking tab.
Check for secure installation. Pull base front to back and left to right to check for secure
installation

. Vehicle lap belt MUST stay tight.
If the vehicle lap belt does not stay tight, check that the belt lock-off is locked and that the
arrow is pointing toward the vehicle buckle being used. If the base still does not stay
tight, see vehicle owner’s manual, “Vehicle Seat Belts” section or move to a different
seating location.
Attach car seat to base.
Recheck recline of car seat. Adjust if necessary (see step 4).
