4.7 COMMISSIONING PROCEDURES
System commission can commence to the master-unit and remote-unit after the monitoring system
has been initialized. (e.g. when MCU LED H2 begin to flash).
4.7.1 MASTER-UNIT COMMISSIONING

Enter into the Main window. Click ‘online’ button to access the
repeater’s status. Go to next step if there is no alarm. Else check
the point of failure and proceed to clear the alarm.

Set master-unit site ID and telephone number
Test master-unit input
power and align
900MHz donor antenna
z
Observe DT port received signal level from ‘RF Parameters’.
z
Align the direction of donor antenna till the DL input power
reading is maximized.
Check master-unit DL
output power
z
Configure the downlink gain to the maximum and read the
downlink output power to determine if design requirement is
achieved.
z
If the output power is satisfactory and the repeater has been to
ALC, then adjust either downlink gain to operate ALC within
1~3dB, or adjust ATT to design value according to the actual
situation.
Check master-unit UL
gain
z
Configure the uplink ATT of CH1/2 to be 1~3dB lower than the
downlink ATT.
