CHAIN CONTAINER INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT!
Read all instructions before attempting to install chain container to hoist.
Please see detail images at the end of this document for more information. Caution should be used to ensure chain does not tangle if
manually loaded into container before operation. If chain becomes tangled and contacts the bottom of the hoist, damage may occur.
The recommended method of feeding chain into the container is by operating the hoist in the up direction, allowing chain to feed into the
container.
1. Installing the chain container:
a. Temporarily route loose-end of load chain over chain container bracket, as shown in Point B of Figure 1.
b. Place one large flat washer (2) on one 75mm bolt (1), followed by a retainer wire (3) loop and another large washer. Feed the bolt
through a reinforced hole in chain container from the outside.
c. Once through the reinforced hole in the container, add another large washer (2), followed by one spacer (4).
d. Insert the bolt through one hole in the mounting bracket. Add one small flat washer (5) to the bolt. Add one nylon-insert lock nut (6)
onto bolt. Tighten the nut by hand to the extent it will not fall off. See Figure 2 for details for steps 1b-1d.
e. Loop the retainer wire (3) around the suspension (10) until the loose end is near the remaining bracket mount. See Figure 3.
Note:
multiple loops around the suspension may be necessary to remove unnecessary length from the retainer wire.
f. Repeat steps 1b-1d for remaining side.
g. Torque lock nuts (6) to approximately 4.5 lb·ft (6.1 N·m).
h. Route loose-end of load chain into chain container as shown in Point C of Figure 1.
i. The chain container is now ready for operation.
Note:
Loose-end screw (12) should be torqued to approximately 4.5 ft·lbs (6.1 N·m).
