Safety
• The waffle iron should only be used as described in this instruction manual.
• Place the waffle iron on a dry, flat and heat resistant surface. Make sure that there
is ample space above and below the waffle iron for air to circulate.
• Remember that the waffle iron gets really hot during use. To avoid burning yourself,
only lift the waffle iron by the handle.
• Bear in mind that hot steam will escape when the lid is lifted.
• Keep an eye on the waffle iron if you are using it in the vicinity of children.
• Do not touch the waffle iron or the lead if your hands are wet.
• Do not expose the waffle iron to moisture, knocks or blows. Never use the waffle
iron if you have dropped it on the floor, left it outdoors or dropped it in water.
• Check that your power supply is 220–240 V AC and that the waffle iron is
connected to an earthed socket.
• Do not pull or carry the waffle iron by the lead. Do not use the lead as a handle and
do not let it fasten in a door. Do not pull it around sharp corners and edges or over
warm surfaces, such as a hotplate.
• The waffle iron should only be used and kept indoors.
• The power lead should be regularly checked. Never use the device if the power
lead or plug is damaged.
• The power lead be changed if damaged in order to avoid the risk of chock or fire,
but this should only be done by the manufacturer, qualified service station
or professional.
• Do not open the casing. Certain parts inside the casing carry dangerous currents.
Touching these can give you an electrical shock.
• The waffle iron should not be taken apart or modified. The waffle iron should only
be repaired by qualified service personnel.
• Always unplug the waffle iron from the wall socket before cleaning.
• Never lower the waffle iron into water or other liquids. This could result in
potentially lethal electric shocks.
