ENGINE OIL

MAINTENANCE

6. Re- install fill cap, Start engine

The proper amount and grade of

engine oil will have a greatimpact

on the life of the engine. Checking

the oil daily and changing the oil as

listed in the maintenanceschedule

is the most importantmaintenance

procedure there is for theengine.

CHECKING THE

ENGINE OIL

1. Make sure the Go Kart is onlevel

ground
2. Check engine oil level by remov-

ing and looking at the oil plug/

dipstick (1). Oil should be close to

the top of the serrated portion ofthe

dipstick.

3. If engine oil is low, add oil until

oil is at the top of the serrated por-

tion of the dipstick. Use the correct

grade of oil as listed in thismanual.

Do not over or

under fill engine with oil, this could

damage the engine.

CHANGING THE

ENGINE OIL

1. Make sure engine is warm be-

fore attempting to drain the oil. A

warm engine will help the oil drain

quicker.
2. Remove the oil fill plug (1)

and allow to run for a few minutes,

Re-check oil level and fill

accordingly.
