Day/Night Mode
Determines if the image is color or monochrome and whether infrared light wavelengths are used in produc-
ing an image.
Day mode - The camera produces a color image and uses an IR cut filter to prevent infrared illumination
from reaching the image sensor.
NOTE:
The camera stays in the Day mode regardless of the scene illumination level.
NOTE:
The camera stays in the Night mode regardless of the scene illumination level.
Night mode - The camera produces a monochrome image and removes the IR cut filter to allow infrared
illumination to reach the image sensor and contribute to the image.
Auto - The camera will automatically switch to Day or Night mode depending on the amount of light avail-
able. When the scene gets dark and the camera gain increases, the camera switches to Night mode. When
the scene illumination increases and the camera gain decreases, the camera switches to Day mode.
NOTE:
There may be a several second delay when switching between different Day/Night modes.
At the bottom of the Functions tab two buttons are displayed:

Default - restores the factory default settings:

Save - stores the current Camera parameter settings (shown below) as the start-up mode.
