CODAN
HF 2000 AIRBONE SYSTEM
Description of Control Functions
CHANNEL SELECTION is performed by means of a single knob. The intensity of the channel number display
varies automatically with ambient light level, such that maximum readability is maintained from darkness to full
sunlight.
The OFF/VOLUME control applies power to the system and controls the receiver audio gain.
The PULL TEST function can be used to override the muting circuit to check receiver operation (noise) in the
absence of an audio signal.
The TUNE/SSB/CLARIFY control selects either the TUNE mode in the fully counter clockwise switch position, or
the SSB mode over the full clockwise rotation of the potentiometer. When in the SSB mode, the potentiometer
action performs the clarify function, i.e. can improve intelligibility in SSB receive. The centre position of the
control corresponds to minimum clarifier effect.
The TUNE mode is only used to adjust “STINGER” type antennas and antenna tuners. There is no audio
transmitted in this mode.
PRESET CONTROLS are provided for mute adjustment, microphone gain and display intensity. Adjustment
should be done only by a technician.
