Charging
Charging temperature: 5–40 °C.
1. Connect the charger to a wall socket. The green LED will come on.
2. Slide the battery into the charger.
The green LED will go out and the red
LED will come on whilst the battery is
being charged.
3. When the battery has been fully charged,
the green LED will come on.
4. Remove the battery from the charger
and disconnect the charger from
the mains once the battery is
fully charged.
• The charging time is approximately 40 min.
• The battery may become hot whilst it is being charged. This is completely normal.
• The battery and charger function best at normal room temperature. Do not charge
the battery in direct sunlight or in temperatures below 5 °C. The temperature range
for charging is 5–40 °C.
• When the battery becomes discharged, the electronics of the battery will turn
the impact driver off automatically.
• For long-term storage (months) the battery should first be fully charged.
Charging error indications
• The red LED flashes: defective battery, change the battery.
• The green LED flashes: battery too hot or cold to charge. Let battery reach normal
room temperature before charging.
Attaching/detaching the battery
1. Before attaching the battery, set the forward/reverse selector (5) to the middle
position to lock the power trigger. This is to prevent the impact driver from starting
accidentally when the battery is installed.
2. Slide the battery onto the bottom of the tool until it clicks into place.
3. To remove the battery, press down the battery release button (4) and slide
the battery off the tool.
Overload protection and other safety features
The impact driver/battery has a number of safety features that prevent damage to
the impact driver and battery during use.
• During short high-load situations the overload protection may turn off the impact
driver/battery. This protection resets automatically. Release the trigger, wait a few
seconds, ensure that there is no load and restart the impact driver. The impact
driver should now function normally again.
