WARRANTY
COBRA ELECTRONICS CORPORATION warrants that its Cobra
PhoneLynx™, and the component parts ther eof, will be free of defects
in workmanship and materials for a term of one year from the date
of first consumer purchase. This warranty may be enfor ced by the
first consumer purchaser , provided that the pr oduct is used solely
within the U.S.A. and Canada. Cobra will, without charge, r epair or
replace, at its option, defective PhoneL ynx™ products or component
parts upon delivery to the Cobra Factory Service Department, if ac-
companied by proof of the date of first consumer pur chase, such as a
duplicated copy of a sales receipt. The consumer must pay any initial
shipping charges r equired to ship the pr oduct for warranty service.
Return shipping will be at Cobra’ s expense if the product is r epaired
or replaced under warranty .
This warranty gives the consumer specific rights, and he or she may
also have other rights which vary from state to state.
EXCLUSIONS – THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPL Y:
1. T o any pr oduct damaged by accident;
2. In the event of misuse or abuse of the product or as a r esult of
unauthorized alterations or repairs;
3. If the serial number has been altered, defaced or r emoved;
4. If the owner of the product r esides outside the U.S.A. and Canada.
All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fit -
ness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the term of this
warranty. COBRA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENT AL,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES; INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, DAMAGES RESUL TING FROM LOSS OF USE OR
COST OF INSTALLA TION. Some states do not allow limitations on
the duration of an implied warranty and/or do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Part or all of the
above limitations may not apply to some consumers.
It is the user’s r esponsibility to use this product prudently and
responsibly . This product is intended to be used only as a travel aid
and must not be used for any purpose requiring pr ecise measurement
of direction, distance, location and/or topography .
PRODUCT SERVICE
For any questions about operating or installing this new Cobra
product, or if parts ar e missing… PLEASE CALL COBRA FIRST…do
not retur n this product to the stor e.
If this product should r equire factory service, please call Cobra first
before sending the pr oduct. This will ensure the fastest tur naround
time on any repair . If Cobra asks that the product be sent to its
factory, the following must be fur nished to have the product serviced
and retur ned:
1. For Warranty Repair include some form of pr oof-of-purchase, such as
a mechanical repr oduction or carbon of a sales receipt. Make sur e the
date of purchase and pr oduct model number are clearly r eadable. If
the originals are sent, they cannot be r eturned;
2. Send the entire pr oduct;
3. Enclose a description of what is happening with the product. Include
a typed or clearly printed name and address of wher e the product is
to be retur ned, with phone number (requir ed for shipment).
4. Pack the pr oduct securely to pr event damage in transit. If pos-
sible, use the original packing material;
5. Ship pr epaid and insured by way of a traceable carrier such as
United Par cel Service (UPS) or Priority Mail to avoid loss in transit

6. If the pr oduct is in warranty, upon r eceipt of the product, it will
either be repair ed or exchanged depending on the model. Please
allow approximately 3 – 4 weeks befor e contacting Cobra for
status. If the product is out of warranty , a letter will automatically
be sent with information as to the repair char ge or replacement
charge.

911 Statement
Calling 911 using a cell phone works differ ently than calling 911 on a
land line. In order for a call to 911 emer gency services to be able to
provide your exact location, E911 services must be deployed in your
area and you must have a GPS enabled and activated cell phone.
See your cell phone owner’s manual to determine if your cell phone
has that feature and make sur e that the feature is activated.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with

Rules. These limits are designed to pr ovide reasonable pr otec-
tion against harmful interference in a r esidential installation. This
equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency ener gy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,
may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However ,
there is no guarantee that interfer ence will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to
radio or television reception, which can be determined by tur ning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to corr ect the
interference by one or mor e of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the r eceiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and r eceiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit dif ferent fr om
that to which the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for
help.
