WARNING:

 

Carbon monoxide gas is toxic. Breathing it can cause unconsciousness and even kill you. 

Avoid any areas or actions that expose you to carbon monoxide. 

Review the instructions provided with the equipment powered by this engine for any safety precautions that 

should be observed with engine startup, shutdown, or operation. 

6.2 STARTING THE ENGINE 

a) Push the red primer bulb 3-5 times. (Fig.2A)

Note

Priming is usually unnecessary when restarting a warm engine.

b) Standing behind the unit, grasp the brake control handle and hold it against the upper handle. (Fig 2B)

c

Pull the starter grip slowly until resistance is felt and then pull rapidly to avoid kickback.

WARNING:

 If you push the primer bulb too many times, excessive fuel will flood the carburetor and the 

engine will be difficult to start.

CAUTION:

 

Do not allow the starter grip (1) to snap back against the engine. Return it gently to prevent 

damage to the starter. (See Fig. 3)
