General safety rules for your protection
and the protection of others

Caution:
When using electric tools, the following safety rules should always be
adhered to in order to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
1.
Keep the work area clean.
Cluttered surfaces and tables invite accidents.
2.
Do not use the machine in a hazardous environment.
Electric devices should not be used on damp, wet surfaces or in rain. Assure
that the lighting is sufficient in the work area. Assure there is good ventilation
when engaging in dusty tasks. Never use electric machines/tools where they
may cause fire or explosion.
3.
Avoid electric shock.
Avoid physical contact with grounded items such as water lines, radiators,
kitchen stoves, etc. while using electric machines/tools.
4.
Keep away from children and visitors.
All children and visitors should be at a safe distance from electric machines/
tools or electric cables in the work area.
5.
Store the machine out of the reach of children.
Store electric machines/tools locked up or out of reach of children while not in use.
6.
Do not force the machine.
It will do the job better and safer at the intended feeding speed.
7.
Use the appropriate tools.
Do not force a tool or an attachment to perform a task it is not intended for.
8.
Wear appropriate clothing.
No loose fitting clothes, mittens, necklaces, rings, bracelets, or other
jewellery that may become entangled in rotating parts. Non-slip shoes are
recommended. Wear a hairnet or similar if your hair is long.
9.
Always wear protective eyeglasses.
Always wear protective eyeglasses, regular eyeglasses are insufficient. Also
use dust filters or a protective masks when performing dusty tasks.
10.
Use dust extractors.
Use suction equipment to remove and collect sawdust and wood shavings,
if the machine is intended for this purpose, and assure that the equipment is
used correctly and emptied as needed.
Caution:
Sawdust and shavings from
certain kinds of wood and wood products may be harmful to your health after
only a short period of exposure.
11.
Do not misuse the power cord.
Never carry the machine in its cord. Do not pull the cord; instead unplug the
device when turning off the power. Assure that the cord does not come in
contact with heat, oil, or sharp edges.
