Changing the tip
1. Wait until the tip and tip holder have cooled.
2. Loosen the retaining nut, detach the tip holder and remove the tip.
3. Clean and lubricate all heating components with a thin film of oil.
4. Change the tip and tighten the tip holder’s retaining nut by hand (never use tools to
tighten the tip holder).
Cleaning
1. Always unplug the mains lead before cleaning.
2. Dry the soldering station with a soft, lightly moistened cloth. Never use strong
cleaning solutions or solvents.
3. Make sure that no moisture gets into any of the soldering station’s openings.
4. To clean the soldering tip thoroughly use a fine grade sandpaper to remove any
oxides or other contaminants on a regular basis or after about 20 hours of use.
Note:
Never set the soldering station to high during long periods as this can damage
the soldering tip.
