4.0 INSTALLATION

OUTDOOR UNIT ABOVE INDOOR SECTION LINE SET

For applications that are considered to have a long 

line set with the outdoor unit above the indoor unit 

the following is required:

 

•  Non-bleed TXV on the indoor coil or install liquid 

line solenoid valve near indoor unit with flow ar

-

row pointing toward indoor unit.  

•  Insulated liquid line in unconditioned space only. 

Insulated suction line full length.

•  Follow the proper line sizing, maximum linear 

and equivalent lengths, charging requirements, 

and oil level adjustments spelled out in this 

manual.
