The beltpack will always power up to the last mode it was in before being powered down in its previous use.  So if you
edit a Mode and then unplug the beltpack, the next time it’s plugged in, it will be in that same Mode with all the same
settings. A legend is screened onto the back panel of each beltpack to assist with Setup.

To Setup a beltpack use the following procedure:

1.

Make sure that beltpack is receiving DC power and termination (plugged into an active system or power supply).

2.

Press and hold the Setup button (located on the side of the beltpack) for 3 seconds until the 7-segment LED
display on the top of the beltpack shows “P”.  All other LED’s except the power LED will turn off.  Release the
Setup button and a “1” will appear in the display.  This tells you that the beltpack is waiting for a selection to be
made.

3.  MODE: Press the TALK button once to enter Mode Select. Display will still show “1”, but it is now flickering.

Then, press the TALK button again to  advance you through the four selections, numbered 1 through 4. The LED
will display the number selected.  Press the Setup button again to exit.  If you do not press the Setup button to
exit, the processor will “time out” after a few seconds and revert to the previous setting.

NOTE: When selecting mode, the LED display will always display a “solid” numeral 1 first. If Mode 1 is selected by
pressing the Talk button, the numeral 1 in the display will begin to flicker.  All Mode numbers display in this fashion.

4.

FUNCTION: Press the CALL button between 1 and 7 times to select specific features to toggle on and off. See
below for the table of selectable features. The LED will display the number of the feature selected.  Each feature
selected will be either “on” or “off”. Press the TALK button to toggle to the feature on or off.  The TALK LED will
light  if the option is “on” or selected. Press the Setup button again to exit. If you do not press the Setup button to
exit, the processor will “time out”  after a few seconds and revert to the previous setting.

“P”, release the Setup button, press and hold the CALL button.  The display will change from “1’ to “2”. While still
pressing the Call button, press the Program button again. The LED will then display “F” . The LED will then turn
off and normal operation is resumed.

Note that the seven segment LED display is active only when changing the Setup.
