Danger of Electric Shock and Fire
■
Do not use the device if highly
fl
ammable gases are present in the air.
■
Use and store the device only in closed rooms. Do not operate it outdoors, in rooms
with high humidity or on hot surfaces.
■
Never touch the mains plug, the mains cable or the device with wet or damp hands.
■
Never pick up liquids with the device. Do not pour liquids into the dust container.
Keep the motor unit away from moisture or wet conditions!
■
Never carry or pull the device by the cable; always treat the cable with care. Avoid
pinching the cable in doors or pulling it over sharp edges or corners. Keep the cable
away from hot surfaces.
■
Connect the device only to a plug socket whose mains voltage corresponds to the
data on the rating plate. The plug socket must still be accessible after the connec-
tion has been made. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the
same as that of the device.
■
In the interest of your own safety, you should check the device for damage each time
before you use it. Only use it if it is not damaged in any way!
■
Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket:
–
in the event of a thunderstorm,
–
in the event of damage / faults (e.g. unusual noises, odour or smoke development)
–
if liquids have been sucked up,
–
if the device has been dropped.
Have it checked by an expert before you use it again.
■
The device must be switched off when inserting or removing the mains plug from the
plug socket.
■
When you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, always pull the plug and
never the mains cable!
Damage to Materials, Property and the Device
■
Do not allow the dust container to get too full. Empty it after each use if possible. The
fi
lters must also be regularly cleaned in order to prevent overloading of the motor.
■
The dust container and the
fi
lters must be completely dried after washing before they
may be reinserted.
■
The device should only be used when it is fully and correctly assembled. The dust
container and the
fi
lters must be inserted and must not be damaged. If the dirt were
to get inside the device, this could damage the motor. Do not insert anything into the
openings / nozzle of the device and make sure that they do not become clogged.
Never cover the ventilation openings.
■
Use only original manufacturer’s accessories.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature variations,
open
fi
re or direct sunlight.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Never place heavy objects on the device.
■
Do not try to lubricate the rollers with lubricant or oil. This would cause dust and dirt
to increasingly adhere to the rollers.
■
Store the device in a cool, dry place that is not accessible to children and animals
when it is not being used.
