Troubleshooting
If the device should stop working properly,
fi
rst check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
Potential cause/solution/tips
The vacuum
cleaner has no
suction power.
• Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket? Correct
the position of the mains plug.
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse for your mains connection.
The suction power
is weak.
• Is the auxiliary air valve on the handle open? Close the valve.
• Is the dust bin too full? Empty the bin.
• Are one or both
fi
lters heavily laden with dirt? Clean the
fi
lter(s).
• Is the attached nozzle, telescoping tube or suction tube
plugged? Turn the device off, pull the mains plug out of the
socket and remove the blockage.
The device
emits dust when
vacuuming.
• Has the dust bin been closed properly and inserted in the de-
vice? Correct this if necessary.
An unpleasant
odour develops
when vacuuming.
• Are you using the device for the
fi
rst time? An odour often
develops when using new devices for the
fi
rst time. The odour
should disappear once you have used the device a few times.
• Has the device already been used on multiple occasions?
The device is defective. Turn off the device, pull the mains
plug out of the socket and promptly contact customer service.
Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the packaging in an
environmentally-friendly manner and make it available to the collection service
for recyclable materials.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly manner. It does not belong
in the household garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical and
