Adding / removing water
ATTENTION!

Before adding water to / emptying the water tank, always disconnect the plug. In the process,
never pull on the cable, but always on the plug.

Never

ll more than the maximum level shown on the measuring cup (max. 100 ml).
❐
Never
fi
ll the device with cleaners or other additives. They may irreparably damage the
device and as such, the safe operation of the unit can no longer be assured.
The device can be used with tap water as well as distilled water.
When using tap water, the device has to be decalci
fi
ed regularly (see chapter “Cleaning
and storage”).
When using distilled water, the decalci
fi
cation of the device is not necessary. Therefore
the use of distilled water is recommended.
1. Fill the measuring cup with water (max. 100 ml).
2. Open the water tank by pulling the water tank cap out of the device. Please note that the cap
cannot be completely removed from the device.
3. Fill the water tank with water using the measuring cup.
4. Close the water tank by
fi
rmly pushing the cap into the opening of the tank. Make sure that
the water tank is completely closed.
5. To empty the water tank, open the water tank cap and turn the device upside down. This
allows any remaining water to drain from the tank.

ATTENTION!

Scalding hazard! The device works with hot steam! Use the device with care and only hold
it by the handle during operation.
❐
Never point the steam directly at people, pets or plants. This can lead to serious scalds.
❐
Never attempt to iron clothing when being worn by someone.
❐
Always work with suf
fi
cient lighting.
❐
Never use the device without water.
❐
Only use the device once the power light is off. In this way, the recommended temperature
is attained. If you use the device before the power light is off, hot steam or hot water can
emit –
scalding hazard
!

Do not depress the steam trigger continually during use. This reduces the steam pressure.
❐
If you use the device vertically, e. g. when steaming hanging clothes, always incline the device
gently forward so that no hot steam or hot water can reach your
fi
ngers.
❐
Always attempt to iron a small, unnoticeable area
fi
rst.
❐
Never apply the vapour stream to one area for an excessive amount of time.
