Should the station that has been set hiss, it may be that the station cannot be recei-
ved in stereo. Press the MONO/STEREO button in order to listen to the station in
mono. In most cases this will greatly reduce the interference. This function can only
be activated in FM operation!
Storing a Radio Station
It is possible to store 40 stations (20 FM,20 MW). This saves you the trouble later of
tuning into each station again. Please note that the following sequence has to be
carried out quickly, as the store function resets itself automatically after a few
seconds!
1. Tune into the desired station, as described above.
2. Press the MEMORY button. The word "MEMORY" flashes in the display (5).
3. Use the MEM buttons (
and
) to select a storage number.
4. Press the MEMORY button again. The word "MEMORRY" no longer flashes in
the display (5).
The station is stored. In order to store other stations, proceed in the same way.
RDS (Radio Data System)
For this function, radio reception must be perfect! Therefore the music centre
should be connected to the roof aerial. To do so, use the 75? socket on the back of
the machine.
Should the station being received hiss, RDS cannot be activated.
If the station has been correctly tuned in and can be heard without any hiss, but RDS
cannot be activated, it may be that the station does not transmit an RDS signal.
The symbol "RDS" therefore lights up in the music centre if the station being recei-
ved transmits an RDS signal and the reception is sufficiently strong.
Displaying the Station Name and Information
Press the FM/MW button and select FM.
Press the "+" button (hold down for approximately two seconds) to start the auto-
matic search.
After the desired station has been found, the frequency of the transmitting station
appears in the display (5).
By pressing the INTRO button you can now call up the following information in the
display:
Press once:
The name of the station appears (e.g. BBC, etc.)
Press twice:
The theme is displayed. If no specific theme has been alloca-
ted, the word "NONE" appears.
Press three times: Information transmitted by the radio station appears.
