RATING (READ) Settings
The „Rating“ menu makes it possible to block playback
of a DVD on the basis of the rating setting.
Settings the Password and Rating Level
With this DVD player it is possible to block playback of
unsuitable material with a rating system that is protected
by a password (not all discs have this function).
A. Press SETUP in stop mode.
B. Select “RATING (Read)” and press ENTER.
C. Select the RATING (block) settings and press ENTER
repeatedly until the desired RATING (block) level has
been set, from 1 (greatest restrictions) to 8 (minimum
restrictions).
If a password has already been set, the block symbol
appears. It is not possible to select a rating until you
have selected the correct password using the 0-9
buttons.
D. Select password.
E. Using the 0-9 buttons you can enter a 4-fi gure
password . Then press the ENTER button. When the
block symbol disappears the correct password has
been entered.
F. Press SETUP to store and leave the menu.
Not all DVDs are categorised according to this system.
DVDs that have been given a higher classifi cation than
the level selected by you can only be played back if the
correct password has been entered.
If you have forgotten your rating password you can de-
lete the memory with 8888. The password should not be
made accessible to children, as it cancels the parental
lock setting.
