Inserting the Batteries
1. Press down the cover of the battery compartment in
order to remove it.
2. Insert two batteries (type AAA) into the battery com-
partment of the remote control. Please ensure that
the poles (+ and -) correspond to the markings in the
battery compartment.
3. Close the cover of the battery compartment.
Note:
• Do not use batteries from different manufacturers.
Furthermore, old and new batteries should not be
used at the same time.
• If the remote control is not going to be used for a
prolonged period, the batteries should be removed in
order to prevent damage from corrosion.
• Remove used batteries immediately in order to avoid
damage from corrosion.
• If the batteries should leak, the battery fl uid must be
removed from the battery compartment and both
batteries replaced.
• Always replace both batteries at the same time and
use new batteries that are fully charged.
• The lifetime of the batteries depends on the level of
use.
Using the Remote Control
Point the remote control directly at the sensor of the
DVD player. If the signal is received, the device will react
accordingly. The remote control can be operated up to
approximately 7 m from the sensor at an angle of up to
30°.
Note:
• The sensor must not be exposed to direct sunlight or
strong illumination, as this could cause the device to
malfunction.
• If other remote controls are used in the same area, or
the remote control is operated near to devices which
use infrared rays, interference may occur.
• Please avoid placing objects on the remote control,
as otherwise a button could be pressed by accident,
a function modifi ed and the lifetime of the batteries
shortened.
• The front of the DVD receiver should not be lined
with tinted glass, as this might interfere with normal
operation of the remote control.
• No large objects should be placed between the
remote control and the remote sensor on the DVD
receiver, as this may prevent the signal from reaching
the device.
• Please avoid exposing the remote control to liquids
or moisture.
• The remote control must not be dismantled.
Batteries
Incorrect use of the batteries may result in them leaking,
corroding or exploding.
Note:
Batteries should not be disposed of in normal domestic
waste. Please return used batteries to the appropria-
te collection points or to the dealer where they were
bought.
Never throw batteries into a fi re.
