PIT JACK 1T
This jack is designed to be used on a flat and solid floor that can support the load. The use of this
pit jack on loose or deformed ground can cause instability or drop of the load (Fig. 5).
The safety valve is set and sealed at the factory. Never touch it or change the setting.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE THE LOAD TO FALL,
DAMAGE OR BREAKAGE OF THE PIT CYLINDER AND, CONSEQUENTLY, DAMAGE TO PERSONS
AND PROPERTY.
MAINTENANCE & SERVICES
DISPOSAL
• The hydraulic unit (cylinder-pump) is a waterproof system that normally only requires monthly
lubrication of moving parts. In case of oil loss or after dismantling the hydraulic unit to replace
worn seals, slowly introduce oil through the filling opening while operating the pump pedal.
• Quantity of oil required for a 800kg pit cylinder: 1.95 L
• The hydraulic system contains enough oil when the cylinder reaches its maximum height.
CAUTION: A higher amount of oil could cause incidents.
• Any hydraulic oil with an ISO 22 scale can be used. NEVER USE BRAKE FLUID. The mechanical
parts of the pedal must be lubricated every 2 months with high quality oil and the pump piston
head must be greased.
• Always check the mechanical parts of the cylinder for wear and tear (damage or missing parts)
or oil leakage before use. In the event of an impact, accident or overload of the cylinder, it must
be checked immediately. The inspection should preferably be carried out by a specialised person
recommended by the supplier.
• It is recommended to have your pit cylinder checked annually by a specialist recommended by
the supplier and to replace any defective or dangerous parts with original spare parts.
- CONTROLS :
• Before using the pit cylinder, make sure that there is no wear on the mechanical parts, no oil
leakage to the hydraulic unit, no damage or missing parts.
• In the event of any accident, overload or impact, each pit cylinder must be checked immediately.
This inspection must always be carried out by the supplier’s specialized personnel. It is strongly
recommended to have an annual inspection carried out by a specialist approved by the supplier.
It is also recommended to replace any defective or dangerous parts only with original parts
supplied by the manufacturer.
Any pit cylinder that is damaged, heavily worn, or has malfunctions must be taken out of service.
When the pit jack is to be destroyed, the materials resulting from this destruction must be disposed
of and/or recycled in accordance with the legislation in force in the country where the pit jack is
to be destroyed.
