Safety
• This speaker can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
Keep the speaker and its charger lead out of reach of children under the age of 8.
• The speaker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability, lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety,
provided they have been instructed in the safe use of the product and understand
the hazards involved. Never let children play with the speaker.
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Never try to open the casing of
the speaker. The casing contains hazardous unshielded live components which if
touched could start a fire or give you an electric shock.
• Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation with a distance of at least 5 cm
between ventilation ports and the surrounding area is necessary to prevent
the speaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• The speaker must only be used with the included mains adaptor or an adaptor
recommended by the retailer.
• Make sure that the wall socket that is used is easily accessible, since this is
the only way to completely disconnect the product from the mains supply.
• Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface.
• Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Do not place
any objects containing liquid on the speaker, such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place the speaker in constant sunlight or near naked flames such as wood
stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Position the speaker where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its lead.
• The speaker is intended for indoor use only.
• Never subject the speaker to high temperature, dust, heavy vibration, impacts, rain
or humidity.
• Do not abuse the mains adaptor or its lead. Never unplug the mains adaptor by
pulling the lead. Always grip the body of the adaptor itself. Make sure that the lead
does not come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is crushed in any way.
• Unplug the mains adaptor during thunderstorms or if the speaker is not to be used
for a long time.
