• Do not use the player in temperatures below -5°C or above
+40°C or in humidity over 75% RH.
• Do not expose the player to rain or moisture.
• Do not subject the player to impacts or vibrations.
• Avoid using the player in extremely dry environments to minimize
the risk of static electricity.
• Do not remove the player from your computer whilst data transfer
or formatting is in progress, use the Windows method to “safely
remove hardware”, refer to “Start/Help and Support” if you
are unsure.
• Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the player, it contains no parts
that can be repaired or adjusted.
•
Warning!
Do not use the player whilst driving a vehicle in traffic, it
can affect your concentration and lead to an accident. Remember
to always turn off the player when cycling, walking, crossing roads,
at railway crossings, or in other situations requiring your
full attention.
•
Warning!
Listening to the player on high volume can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• We accept no liability for data loss from the player. Make sure
that you save a copy of any important files in several places.

Connecting to a PC
Note:
When connecting to a PC you will be presented with 3 options:
•
Data Transfer
(select to transfer files between the computer
and player).
•
Charge and Play
(select for charging and simultaneous playback).
•
Charge
(select to charge only).
Transferring files from your PC
1. Connect the device to your computer for downloading and
for charging.
2. Make sure your computer is turned on before connecting.
3. Connect one end of the USB lead to the Mini-USB port and
the other end to your computer.
4. Select
Data Transfer
on the player.
5. When the device is connected to the computer, “Removable Disk”
will appear under “My Computer”.
6. Drag and drop files from you computer to the “Removable Disk”.
7. Do not remove the USB lead during transference since it can
cause device errors.
Save files to their respective folders:
• Audio files to the Music folder
• Video files to the Video folder
• BMP/JPEG files to the Photo folder
• E-book files to the TXT folder
If these procedures are not followed you may only view the files
in Browse mode.
Disconnecting the device
After transference is complete, remove the device in the following order:
1. Click the
icon in the taskbar.
2. Click on the little pop-up box with the text, “Stop the USB Mass
Storage Device-Safely Remove Hardware”.
3. You may safely remove the device once you have been notified
that you can do so.
Charging
1. Make sure your computer is turned on before connecting.
2. Connect one end of the USB lead to the Mini-USB port and
the other end to your computer.
3. Select
Charge
or
Charge and Play
on the player.
Charge time for initial use is approx. 8 h. Charge the player until fully
charged. The charging changes to maintenance charging once
the device is fully charged.
