Safety
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from physical
or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone who does not
have the proper experience or knowledge of the product unless they have been
instructed in its use by someone who takes responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with the product.
• The kettle should only be used as described in the manual.
• Place the kettle on a dry and flat surface.
• The kettle should only be used and stored indoors.
• Place the kettle in a secure place and out of children’s reach to
reduce the risk of scalding from boiling water.
• Always unplug the kettle from wall socket before cleaning it or when it is
not to be used for a long time.
• The ekettle or the base must not be submerged in water.
• Plug the mains lead into the power outlet. Note: This product is designed for use
with 220–240 V mains electricity. Make sure the power outlet is earthed.
• Do not pull or carry the kettle by the mains lead. Do not use the lead as a handle
and do not let it get caught in a door. Do not pull the lead around sharp corners
and edges.
• Make sure that the mains lead does not come into contact with hot surfaces,
e.g. a warm hob.
• Do not use the kettle if the lead or plug is damaged.
• Do not use the kettle if you have dropped it on the floor, left it outdoors or have
dropped it into water.
• Only a qualified technician may repair the mains lead if it is damaged.
• Do not open the casing! Certain components inside the casing are exposed and
carry dangerous electrical current. Contact with these could result in electric shock.
• The kettle should only be repaired by qualified service personnel.
• The kettle should not be taken apart or modified.
• Do not touch the kettle jug or lid during or after boiling since it becomes very hot.
• Lift the kettle only by the handle. There is a risk of scalding.
Note:
The spout filter must be inserted in order for the automatic shut-off to work.
