Safety
• The speaker must not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded components inside
the casing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation with a distance of at least 5 cm between
the speaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent the speaker from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that the wall socket that is used is easily accessible, since this is the only way to
completely disconnect it from the electrical system.
• Stand the speaker stably on a flat surface.
• Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Do not place any objects
containing liquid on the speaker such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place the speaker near naked flames such as fireplaces, wood stoves and lit candles.
• Place the speaker where there is no risk of people tripping over the mains lead.
• Never subject the speaker to high temperatures e.g. prolonged sunlight exposure, dust, heavy
vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse the mains lead. Never unplug the speaker by pulling on its mains lead. Always grip
the plug itself. Make sure that the lead does not come into contact with heat or sharp edges or is
crushed in any way.
• Disconnect the plug from the wall socket during thunderstorms or if the speaker is not to be used
for a long time.
• The standby switch on the speaker does not completely disconnect it from the mains. To completely
disconnect the speaker from the mains, it must be unplugged from the electrical outlet socket or
switched off using a 2-pole switch controlling the electrical socket.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to permanent
hearing loss.
• Do not use the speaker if it or its mains lead is damaged in any way.
• Only use accessories that are approved by the manufacturer or retailer.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
• A warning that batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive
heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
• CAUTION
• Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
• Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
