Instructions for use
Important
• The fan heater will become very hot during use.
• Bear in mind that factors such as the size of the room, the outside temperature
and how well the building is insulated, all affect the ability of the heater to warm
the room up. If the room is too large the ability of the heater to warm it up to
the desired temperature may be insufficient.
• Using the highest power setting could constitute an additional load on the building’s
electrical system. If more than one load device (washing machine, microwave,
kettle, etc) is plugged into the same electrical circuit as the fan heater, the extra
current draw could cause the fuse/circuit breaker to trip.
• Contact a qualified electrician if you are unsure or experience problems with your
circuit breaker.
• The fan heater has a PTC (Positive Temperature Coeficient) heating element that
adjusts the heat output of the heater in accordance with the ambient temperature.
1. Plug the fan heater into a wall socket.
2. Turn the power knob to the preferred setting and turn the thermostat knob to
the maximum setting.
3. When the room temperature has risen to the desired level, turn the thermostat
knob back until the heating element switches off (it will make a clicking sound).
4. The heating element will come back on again when the temperature drops to
maintain the set temperature.
Note:
The fan blades will continue to rotate when the heating element has been
switched off automatically. The fan will only stop when the power knob is set to
0
.
Tip-over switch
• The fan heater is fitted with a tip-over switch, a safety cut-off protection device
which switches the fan heater off if it falls over or is not vertical.
• The fan heater will start working again once it has been returned to the upright
position on a level surface.
Care and maintenance
• Always disconnect the plug from the wall socket before moving or cleaning the fan
heater or when it is not to be used for a long time.
• Clean the exterior of the fan heater by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
