Digital Kitchen Thermometer

Please read the entire instruction manual before using
the product and then save it for future reference.

Before initial use
1. Clean the thermometer thoroughly before use
(refer to
Care and maintenance
below).
2. Unscrew the lid.
3. Insert the batteries according to the markings in
the battery compartment.
4. Refit the lid.
Operating instructions
1. Remove the probe cover.
2. Press [ HOLD ] to switch the thermometer on.
The screen will come on for about 15 seconds and
display the current ambient temperature.
3. Stick the thermometer at least 2 cm into the food to
be measured.
4. After 4–10 seconds the reading will have stabilized
and can be read.
5. Press [ HOLD ] again to switch the thermometer off.
6. Wipe the probe with a soft, damp cloth.
7. Refit the probe cover.
NOTE:
If whilst measuring the temperature you
wish to keep the displayed reading, press [ HOLD ]
quickly. Press [ HOLD ] once again to return to normal
measuring mode.
The thermometer automatically switches off after
19 minutes. The display screen automatically switches off
after 15 seconds.
Temperature measurement while baking or roasting
1. Open the oven and take the food out.
2. Measure the temperature as directed above.
3. Remove the thermometer before putting the food
back into the oven.
4. Switch the thermometer off, wipe the probe and refit
the probe cover.
Changing the unit of measurement
The unit of measurement for the temperature can be
switched between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
• Press [ HOLD ] to switch the thermometer on.
• Press [ ºC/ºF ] to change the unit.
Changing batteries
The batteries should be replaced when the digits on
display screen start to fade.
1. Unscrew the lid on the top of the thermometer and
remove the batteries.
2. Insert new batteries and screw the lid back on.
Care and maintenance
• Never immerse the thermometer in water, it is not
waterproof.
• Take care when using the probe, so as not to injure
yourself on the point. Always refit the probe cover
when the thermometer is not in use.
• Clean the product using a soft, lightly moistened
cloth. Use a little washing-up liquid if necessary.
• Wipe the thermometer so that it is clean and dry
when it is put away for storage.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with
local regulations. If you are unsure how to proceed,
contact your local authority.
