Getting started
Connecting the power supply
1. Connect the mains adaptor to the socket (12) on the back of the device.
2. Plug the other end of the mains lead into a wall socket.
3. Make sure that the wall socket you are using is accessible so that it is
easy to disconnect the device from the mains when it is not in use.
Inserting the backup battery
The backup battery prevents the clock from losing all its settings in the event
of a power cut. Without a backup battery the clock will reset to zero every
time the device is unplugged.
1. Open the battery cover on the back of the device.
2. Insert a 9V battery (not included) according to the markings inside the
battery compartment and then replace the cover.
• Remove the batteries if the product is not to be used for a long time.
Batteries left in the clock for long periods can begin to leak and damage
the device or property.
