4. Set the required mode, (see Drill

Mode Selection below).

• When drilling vertically

overhead, fit the rubber dust
collector shown onto the drill.

5. Position the tool against the

surface to be drilled, depress the
OFF lock knob (10) and then
squeeze the trigger switch (3).

NOTE: If using the hammer action do
not start the drill until the tool is in contact with the work surface.

DRILL MODE SELECTION

HAMMER STOP

Your drill is equipped with a hammer stop facility for smoother drilling.
To select this mode turn the hammer control switch (7) to the position
marked:

Depress the lock pin (9) then turn the drill control (8) so that the
position marked:

coincides with the arrow on the machines case.

DRILL STOP

For chiselling it is necessary to deactivate the drilling action as follows:

1. Turn the hammer control switch (7) to the position marked:

2. Depress the lock pin (9) then turn the drill control (8) so that the

position marked coincides with the arrow on the machine case.

HAMMER AND DRILL

To activate the hammer and drill mode turn the hammer control
switch (7) to the position marked:

Depress the lock pin (9) and turn the drill control (8) so that the position
marked thus, coincides with the arrow on the machine’s case.

IMPORTANT: When hammer drilling you only need to apply light
pressure. Too much pressure will place unnecessary load on the motor.
Check the drill bits regularly, re-sharpen or replace.

DRILLING TIPS

1. Always use sharp, good quality drill bits. The performance of your drill is

dependant on the quality of the bits used.
