NEW CHAIN BAR AND CHAIN
Only fit recommended bars and chains. Replacement chain bars (part
number: HTCECS405B64) and chains (part number: 3402080) can be obtained
from your CLARKE dealer.
REMOVING THE EXISTING BAR AND CHAIN
1. Loosen the chain tension and then remove the housing cover by rotating
the cover locking screw anticlockwise.
2. Using a pair of gloves, remove the existing bar and chain by pulling it
towards you. Your local recycling centre can advise you on the best
method of disposal.
NOTE:
When you replace the bar, you will need to remove the wheel
which is attached to it and fit it onto the new bar. See the
following page.
3. Make sure that any debris is cleared from the mechanism and housing
using a soft brush. A clean paint brush is ideal.
WARNING: Make sure that the chainsaw is disconnected from the
mains supply before continuing.
