ADJUSTMENT

Initial setting

1. Power supply voltage:

DC14V, or DC28V

2.

knob(Contrast):

mechanical center of VR5

3.

knob(Luminance):

mechanical center of VR6

4. ZOOM/IRIS button:

off

5. DIM button:

make it bright

6. Forcus:

set as the best point by VR7

Adjustment of DC+9.3V stabilized power supplyvoltage

1. Please connect a camera 1, in order to obtain exact voltage.
2. Press CAM1 button.
3. Connect the 2 pin of IC2(PQ30RV21) and using VR1, set the voltage to +9.3

±

0.2V.

Oscillation frequency

1. Open the camera input (no load).
2. Connect the frequency counter to Red lead wire(DY-H(-)) and Blue lead wire(DY-H(+)) on

deflection yoke.

3. Set to 15,750Hz

±

250Hz by the horizontal oscillation frequency adjustment VR(VR2).

4. Connect the frequency counter to Green lead wire(DY-V(-)) and Yellow lead wire(DY-V(+)) on

deflection yoke.

5. Set to 54Hz

±

3Hz by the vertical oscillation frequency adjustment VR(VR3).

Centering adjustment

1. Input the cross-hatch video signals(horizontal H=17, Vertical V=15: Leader test pattern) to the

Camera jack.

2. Press ON button and make sure that the cross-hatch signals are displayed as shown in Fig. 1.
3. In order to make adjustment easy, please contract a vertical screen by VR4.
4. Adjust to make the screen inclination flat with the deflection coil.

After the adjustment, fix it with the clamp tightening screw, and apply a screw lock.

   * Fix the deflection coil and CRT without clearance between them.
5. Adjust the screen to be center by the centering magnet knob. After the adjustment, apply a

screw lock.

   * There are two adjusting points. The point which has better linearity shall be the adjusting

point.

6. Extend the vertical screen using VR4.

Vertical screen adjustment

1. Input the cross-hatch video signals(horizontal H=17, Vertical V=15: Leader test pattern) to the

Camera jack.

2. Adjust the vertical cross hatch line tobe 12.0

±

0.25(line) with VR4.

Flyback transformer wave check
1. Input the cross-hatch video signals(horizontal H=17, Vertical V=15:Leader test pattern) to the

Camera jack.

2. The collector wave of Q27 shall be as shown in Fig. 2.
3. When the probe is set close to the flyback transformer, the high-voltage induction ringing shall

be 20% or less as shown Fig. 3.

Check of the flyback transformer high voltage

1. It is confirmed that the monitor is turned off.
2. Connect a high voltage meter to the anode cap of the flyback transformer.
   * The input impedance of the high voltage meter shall be least 1000M ohm.
3. Turn on the monitor.
4. DIM button is pushed and the screen is made dark.
5. Set Contrast VR(VR5) and Luminance VR(VR6) to the minimum(Ik=0uA), It is required to make the screen dark.
6. The voltage of the cap shall be within 9kV

±

0.4kV.
