Setting the Session Timeout Value
The timeout value is the number of minutes of inactivity that are allowed before the
Device Manager session is ended. You can configure timeout for the Admin and
Guest accounts.
To configure session timeout:
STEP 1
Choose
Administration
>
Session Timeout
.
STEP 2
In the
Administrator Inactivity Timeout
field, enter the number, in minutes, before
a session times out due to inactivity. Choose
Never
to allow the administrator to
stay logged in permanently.
STEP 3
In the
Guest Inactivity Timeout
field, enter the number, in minutes, before a
session times out due to inactivity. Choose
Never
to allow the administrator to stay
logged in permanently.
STEP 4
Click
Save
.
Configuring Simple Network Management (SNMP)
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) lets you monitor and manage your
router from an SNMP manager. SNMP provides a remote means to monitor and
control network devices, and to manage configurations, statistics collection,
performance, and security.
Configuring SNMP System Information
NOTE
Before you can use SNMP, install SNMP software on your computer. Your device
supports only SNMPv3 for SNMP management and SNMPv1/2/3 for SNMP trap
messages.
To enable SNMP:
STEP 1
Choose
Administration
>
SNMP
.
STEP 2
Check
Enable
to enable SNMP.
STEP 3
Select the SNMP version in the Mode field.
STEP 4
Enter this information:
