Muti-Chassis System Hardware Requirements
The multi-chassis (MC) system is described as 1T or 2T, depending on the installed fabric cards and line
cards. In a 1T system, each line card delivers up to 1 Tbps throughput. In a 2T system, each line card delivers
up to 2 Tbps throughput. The following table lists the 1T and 2T multi-chassis hardware requirements.

Prerequisites
Before cabling the system, install each line card chassis (LCC) and fabric card chassis (FCC) in the planned
location. Ensure that you have adequate floor space to cable the multi-chassis system and an environment that
meets the recommended specifications. For more information, see

Series Routers Site Planning Guide
Cabling Requirements
The following cables and optics are required to interconnect the LCC and FCC in a Cisco NCS 6000
Multi-Chassis system.
Cisco provides the optical modules but does not provide the cables specified below. You can order these
cables from a Cisco approved vendor such as Tyco Electronics or Molex. To obtain the optics, please
contact your Cisco sales representative for further information.
