Configure >
Express Setup
from the menu. The
Express Setup Basic Settings
screen
appears (Figure 9).

Enter this information in the
Network Settings
fields.

In the
Switch Password
field, enter your password. The password can be from 1 to 25
alphanumeric characters, can start with a number, is case sensitive, allows embedded spaces,
but does not allow spaces at the beginning or end.

In the
Confirm Switch Password
field, enter your password again.
You can enter the
Optional Settings
information now or enter it later by using the switch module
device manager interface.
Step 5
In the
Host Name
field, enter a name for the switch module. The host name is limited to
31 characters; embedded spaces are not allowed.
Step 6
In the
System Date
and
System Time
fields, enter the current date and time, or use the down
arrows to select them.
Step 7
In the
Time Zone
field, use the down arrow to choose your time zone.
Step 8
Click
Enable
in the
Daylight Savings Time
field to enable this feature.
