AIP Installation Prerequisites

Interface Processor Slot Locations

The AIP is installed in the interface processor slots in the Cisco 7000 series and Cisco 7500 series
routers. The interface processor slots in the Cisco 7000 series and Cisco 7500 series routers are as
follows:

•

Cisco 7000—slots 0 through 4 (See Figure 2.)

•

Cisco 7010—slots 0 through 2 (See Figure 3.)

•

Cisco 7505—slots 0 through 3 (See Figure 4.)

•

Cisco 7507—slots 0 and 1, and slots 4 through 6 (See Figure 5.)

•

Cisco 7513—slots 0 through 5, and slots 8 through 12 (See Figure 6.)

Note

The interface processor slots are oriented horizontally in the Cisco 7010 and Cisco 7505, and

vertically in the Cisco 7000, Cisco 7507, and Cisco 7513.
