product and prepare it for configuration. Detailed instructions on how to install the
applications, configure the features, and connect devices are provided online. See the Where

Before you unpack the product, verify that all of the following items are present. If any item is
missing or appears to be damaged, contact your supplier immediately.

Business Edition 6000S, comprising Cisco 2921 ‐ V Integrated Services Router, Unified
Computing System (UCS) E Series E160D Server and telephone interface card(s).

Rack ‐ mounting kit

Chassis grounding lug kit

Power cord

Cisco Unified Border Element license pack

Cisco Virtualization Hypervisor license pack


Note: Store the license packs in a safe location. These licenses will be required if the
product needs to be reactivated in the future.
Before You Begin
Ensure that you have the following before you unpack the product:

Space in a standard 19 ‐ inch equipment rack (at least 2 RU)

Fastenings and tools for securing the product to the rack

110 / 220 VAC power feed

(Optional) Provisioned telephone services

VGA monitor and USB keyboard (not supplied) – for initial installation only

Ethernet network port or ports configured for the product

Number 2 Phillips screwdriver
