Typical HopNet Applications
Introduction
The illustration below shows a complete network of multiple data sources connected
to a central base. Units that are out of range are connected through a repeater. See
the illustration of a point-to-point application on the next page.
Point to Multipoint
This common application consists of a central host and remote terminal units or
other data collection devices. The automatic repeat requests (ARQ) and
acknowledgments inside the radio are transparent to the computer system.
