5 - PARAMETERISATION AND READING SOFTWARE
All energy meters have an optical communications channel. The optical interface complies with the
electrical and mechanical specifications established in the IEC 62056-21 Standard. The correct regis-
tration address and password must be entered to establish communications.
This software can be used to configure all the available options of an energy meter while downloading
its information.
6 - INSTALLATION AND START-UP
61 - INSTALLING THE DEVICE
The meter has been designed as per the DIN 43857 standard, which specifies the dimensions and the
mounting points.
Be aware that when the device is switched on, the terminals may cause an electrical
shock if touched, and opening covers or removing elements may expose you to
dangerous parts. The device should not be used until its installation is complete.
Attention
: All the connections must be made inside the terminal cover.

CIRWATT B 101-102
single-phase energy meters have the same type of electrical connection, whether
they have additional performance features, such as the impulse output, relay output, tariff modification
input or RS-485 port on the upper connection terminals.
The electrical connections are shown on the following figure.
