2.6 Dimensions of the MW Sensitive Zone
The dimensions of the sensitive zone is a function of the sensitivity setting of the barrier.
The following figure gives the dimensions at the mid-point of the sensitive zone, as a function of
the length of the zone for maximum and minimum sensitivities.

2.6 Dimensions of Dead Zone close to units
The dimensions of the dead zone close to the units is a function of both the height of the units
above the ground and the sensitivity setting of the Receiver (figure 5).
The recommended
height for a standard installation is approximately 80 cm
, dependent on the requirements of
the system. The measurement is from the centre of the antenna to the ground.
With average
sensitivity the minimum crossover distance should be 3.5m each.
