Imagine that you are flying to New York, a city 5 hours behind
London on the 24-hour disc – if it is 8pm in London, it would
thus be 3pm in New York. Therefore, upon arriving in New
York, gently pull the crown out into position 3 to reset the hour
and minute hands to 3 o’clock as read against the dial’s outer
markers (figure 3). Once you have set the hands to your new
local time, you then need to set the 24-hour disc. Using the
crown, find position 2, and turn it clockwise until the number
15 on the 24-hour disc is aligned against New York on the outer
cities ring. You can now read the time anywhere in the world at
a moment’s glance (figure 4). To set the orange city indicator
which highlights your preferred city location, turn the crown
anti-clockwise until you have reached the desired city.
