18. Remove the DMD board.
See Replacing the DMD board on page 105.
19. Remove the DMD.
See Replacing the DMD on page 88.
20. Remove the four M3 screws with a Phillips #1 screwdriver securing the DMD heatsink.
When replacing the DMD heatsink ensure that the new thermal grease is applied evenly.
21. Remove the DMD mask from the light engine module.
22. Replace the light engine.
23. To re-install, follow these steps in reverse order.
Replacing the DMD
To remove the DMD, complete the following steps.
1. Remove the top cover.
See Removing the top cover on page 59.
2. Remove the main board module.
See Replacing the main board on page 94.
3. Remove the main board bottom shielding.
See Removing the rear cover on page 59.
4. Remove the rear cover.
See Removing the rear cover on page 59.
5. Remove the I/O board.
See Removing the I/O board on page 99.
6. Remove the front cover.
See Removing the front cover on page 61.
7. Remove the left-side cover.
See Removing the left-side cover on page 63.
8. Remove the right-side cover.
See Removing the right-side cover on page 62.
9. Remove the color wheel.
See Replacing the color wheel on page 84.
Replacing the DMD must be done in a clean room.
