UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
G Series version 02.03
Applies to the following projectors:
DHD550-G, DWU550-G
Upgrade Summary:
1.
The update package contains 3 files:
-
Christie GSeries C02.03 FW LAN Update Wizard.msi
-
20130719_PWC808_B2231_x32_128M.zip
-
20130719_PWC808_B2231_x64_128M.zip
2.
Steps for upgrading are:
-
Install the FW wizard to Windows PC.
-
With USB connection, upgrade WebUI/networking FW version B22.31
-
With RJ45/network connection and using the wizards:
Upgrade main projector scaler FW version
C02.03
Upgrade PIC code version
A29.06
3.
Two cables are required for the upgrade:
-
LAN cable (RJ45)
-
USB cable (USB to Mini-USB)
4.
It is recommended to use a computer/laptop with
Windows XP/
Window 7, Internet Explorer 7 and higher
, with automatic
screensavers and screen timeouts disabled.
Stage 1 – Install Update files and prepare computer

Determine whether your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.

Unzip the relevant files onto your computer:

For 32-bit operating systems use x32: 20130719_PWC808_B2231_x32_128M.zip

For 64-bit operating systems use x64: 20130719_PWC808_B2231_x64_128M.zip
7.
Install the C02.03 wizard on your computer. This will install 2 icons on your desktop:
"Christie GSeries A29.06 PIC FW LAN Update Wizard"
"Christie GSeries C02.03 System FW LAN Update Wizard"
Stage 2 – Upgrade WebUI to version B22.31

NOTE: This upgrade must be done first, before the Main FW upgrade.
A USB to Mini-USB connection is required between the computer and projector.
Put projector into programming mode
8.
Unplug the power cable, and then plug in.
AC switch on, ensure the projector is in standby mode (The 3 status LEDs are off).
