7.1.4
Emergency lid release
In the event of a power failure, it is possible to manually open the lid of the
rotational vacuum concentrator.
WARNING
• Do not actuate the emergency lid release before the rotor has stopped
and the pressure has been relieved.
• Do not use the emergency lid release to open the lid during normal
operation. Unlocked lid locks increase the risk of accidents!
• Switch off the mains power switch and disconnect the power cord from
the socket.
• Check if the rotor is at a standstill and the rotor chamber is completely
aerated.
• Pull the unit a bit over the edge of the table and jack it up (see figure
below). Ensure that the centre of gravity of the unit is still on the table. If
necessary, the unit must be secured by a second person.
• Unscrew the black plastic screw (approx. 8 mm).

• Remove the stopper, e.g. with a screwdriver. The stopper is connected
to a mechanical release string (see figure).
