• Before using the product, remove and dispose of any plastic bags and any other packaging
elements and keep them out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard.
• Check the product regularly for signs of wear and damage and to ensure that it is assem-
bled correctly. Should any part be damaged, do not use the toy and keep it out of reach
of children.
• Always use under constant supervision of an adult.
• Runs on 2 x 1.5 volt AA batteries (included). The batteries supplied with this product, at
the point of sale, are intended for demonstration purposes only; please replace immedi-
ately after completing your purchase.
INTRODUCTION TO THE TOy
A cute soft puppy to cuddle and look after. Develops affection awareness skills and helps
baby interact with his very first 4-legged friend, using the 2 play accessories: a brush and
a toy biscuit.
HOW TO USE THE TOy
The baby can interact with the puppy in many different ways:
• if the baby strokes the puppy’s head, he will bark for joy. (Diag. A)
• if the baby presses the bone shaped biscuit on the puppy’s mouth, he will make a happy
chewing noise. (Diag. B)
• if the baby brushes the puppy’s back, he will make noises as he falls asleep. (Diag. C)
The toy is already switched to the ON mode (I position) in the box at the point of sale.
In order to avoid using up the batteries for no reason, it is recommended to switch off the
toy by moving the switch to OFF (0 position) when not in use.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
How to fit and remove the batteries
• Batteries must only be removed and fitted by an adult.
• To replace the batteries: loosen the screw on the battery compartment cover with a screw-
driver and open the cover. Then remove the spent batteries and fit new ones, ensuring that
they have been fitted in the correct polarity (as shown on the product), close the battery
cover, and tighten the screw.
• Always keep batteries and tools out of the reach of children.
• Always remove spent batteries from the product to avoid the danger of leakage from the
battery damaging the product.
• If the batteries happen to leak liquid, replace them immediately, making sure you clean
the compartment beforehand; wash your hands thoroughly if you come into contact with
any such liquid.
• Always remove the batteries if the product will not be used for a long period of time
• Only use alkaline batteries of the same type or equivalent to the type recommended for
the correct function of this product.
• Never mix alkaline, standard (zinc-carbon) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Never mix new and old batteries.
• Do not burn or dispose of old batteries into the environment. Dispose of them at an ap-
propriate differentiated collection point.
• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries: they might explode.
• The use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended as the toy may not work properly.
• If using rechargeable batteries, remove them from the toy before recharging them. Batter-
ies must always be recharged under adult supervision.
• This product is not designed for use with lithium batteries.
• Always remove the batteries if the product will not be used for a long period of time
CLEANING, CARE & MAINTENANCE OF THE TOy
• Only the outer surfaces of the toy can be cleaned, using a soft dry cloth to avoid damage
to its electronic circuit.
• Protect the toy against contact with water, heat, dust and sand.

The crossed bin symbol on the appliance indicates that the product, at the end
of its life, must be disposed of separately from domestic waste, either by taking
it to a separate waste disposal site for electric and electronic appliances or by

for taking the appliance to a special waste disposal site at the end of its life. If the disused
