INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
COT COMPONENTS
a) Cot (see diagram 5)
b) Mattress (see diagram 5)
c) Bag (see diagram 6)
How to Open the Product:
1. Remove the cot from the bag and place it in a vertical position, with
the corners upwards. Unfasten the Velcro straps (diagram 1) and re-
move the mattress from the cot.
2. Hold the two short sides, located opposite to each other, and pull
them externally and in an upward direction, until they are locked
into position (diagram 2). A “click” will be heard, indicating that the
cot is opened correctly.
3. Repeat the above operation on the other two sides (diagram 3).
WARNING: To lock the side joints more easily, keep the cot’s feet as
close together as possible.
4. Apply a little downward pressure with your hands in the central
section on the sides to make sure the four sides are firmly locked
in place; now apply pressure to the centre of the bottom of the cot
until you hear it click, locking into place (see diagram 4).
5. On the base, you will find a safety handle that should be pressed
downwards fully until an audible click is heard. (The cot base should
be completely flat; diagram 4A - 4B). The secondary lock prevents
the cot being closed accidentally and cannot be released whilst the
child is in the cot.
6. Place the mattress on the bottom of the cot fastening the velcro
straps as seen in Diag. 5A-5B.
7. Attach the bag to the short end of the cot using the slots provided.
(diagram 6).
WARNING: Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to
another product, which could provide a foothold or present a danger
of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords etc. The
cot is now ready for use. The cot has a netted window on both the long
sides (see diagram 5) where only one can be unzipped and opened com-
pletely.
WARNING: check that the zip is completely closed when the baby is
in the cot
How to Close the Cot:
8. Remove the mattress (diagram 7). Pull the handle in the centre of the
base upwards approximately 15 cm, to release the locking mecha-
nism (diagram 8).
9. Holding always raised the central handle with one hand, push with
the other hand the buttons located externally on the central joints of
the long superior sides (diagram 9). Raise them slightly to unlock the
safety device, and fold them in a downward direction.
10. Repeat the above operation with the short inferior sides.
WARNING: if during the folding operation, the long inferior sides should
accidentally get blocked in open position, it is necessary to manually
unblock the long inferior sides.
WARNING! During this operation, ensure that the baby is at a proper
distance and pay attention to the mobile parts between the tubes.
When this operation is finished, put the cot in a vertical position raising
it by the central handle.
11. Pull the central handle in an upward direction to fold the four legs
(diagram 10).
12. Wrap the mattress around the cot, and fix it with the velcro straps
(diagram 11).
13. Replace the Playard Cot Bed in its storage bag (diagram 12).
