SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

1.

Maintain a safe working environment.  Keep the work area well lit.  Make sure
there is adequate surrounding workspace.  Always keep the work area free of
obstructions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris.  Do not use this product in
areas near flammable chemicals, dusts, and vapors.

2.

Maintain labels and nameplates on the Compressor Motor.  These carry
important information.  If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for
a replacement.

3.

If the Compressor Motor is to be powered by a 120 volt, grounded, electri-
cal outlet, a 120 volt, grounded, Power Cord (not included) and 3-Prong
Power Plug (not included) must be wired into the Compressor Motor.  
It is
recommended that

 only a qualified, certified, electrician perform thisprocedure.

4.

If the Compressor Motor is to be powered by a 230 volt, grounded, electri-
cal outlet, a 230 volt, grounded, Power Cord (not included) and 3-Prong
Power Plug (not included) must be wired into the Compressor Motor.  
It is
recommended that

 only a qualified, certified, electrician perform this procedure.

5.

Keep the Compressor Motor clean and dry.  The Compressor Motor should be
used indoors only.  Do not attempt to run the Compressor Motor if it is damp or
wet.

6.

Rotating parts such as pulleys, couplings, external fans, unusual shaft
extensions, fan belts, etc. should be permanently guarded.  
Keep hands,
fingers, and clothing away from moving parts.

7.

Use eye protection.  Always wear ANSI approved safety impact eye goggles
when assembling and using this product.

8.

Do not allow children to handle or play with this product.

9.

Store idle equipment.  When not in use, tools and equipment should be stored
in a dry location to inhibit rust.  Always lock up tools and equipment, and keep out
of reach of children.

10.

Do not use this product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Read
warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgement or reflexes are
impaired while taking drugs.  If there is any doubt, do not attempt to use this
product.
