BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

1.  Carefully unpack the Power Blender and remove all packaging materials
2.  Following the detailed procedures described in CARE & CLEANING 

INSTRUCTIONS, wash, rinse, sanitize and dry blender parts before assembly.

3.  Clean and sanitize the motor base. 

WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR BASE OR CORD IN WATER.

SOFT START

1.  This Chef-Built Power Blender features a 1 second “soft start.” 
2.  Blending will gradually increase until desired speed setting is reached.  

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1.  The 48 oz. Chef-Built Commercial Power Blender Tritan

®

 Jar is equipped with 

fixed stainless-steel blades that require no assembly.

2. 

Place the motor base on a flat, clean, dry counter top or table, away from 

flammable materials.

3.  Make sure the unit is unplugged. Check to make sure the ON/OFF (I/O) switch on 

the side of the motor base is in the OFF (O) position.

4.  Place the jar on the motor base so that the jar coupler and motor coupler are 

aligned and engaged. 

IMPORTANT:

 Make sure the jar is properly fitted onto the motor base before 

adding food for blending.

5.  Add food to be processed to the jar.   

WARNING:

 When blending, foods or liquids tend to expand and rise up the side 

of the jar. To avoid personal injury, leakage or damage to the Power Blender,  

DO NOT FILL JAR WITH FOOD PAST THE MAX FILL LINE.

6. 

Place the lid on top of the jar and press firmly to seal. To avoid spills, make sure 

the lid is secure and the lid cap is in place before operation.

7.  Plug the power cord into a 120V AC 3-prong electrical outlet.
8.  Press the ON/OFF (I/O) switch to ON (I). The white LEDs for timer and all 4 key 

indicators light up for a second

9.  Press the HIGH or LOW button to begin operation. The corresponding indicator 

light will illuminate and the blending TIME, will begin to count up to 99 seconds 

There will be a 5 second pause. If STOP is not pressed, the Bar Blender will reset 

to 00 and continue processing. 

IMPORTANT

: Always hold jar with one hand when starting and while blending

10.  CAUTION:

 Pay close attention while processing. Never operate the Bar 

Blender when the jar is empty, except when SANITIZING. (See SANITIZE & DRY 

CONTAINER section.)

11.  Press the STOP button AT ANY TIME to cease operation.

12.  TO CRUSH ICE:

 Blend continuously on HIGH. Check contents. If necessary, 

add liquid and continue to process until all cubes are reduced to the desired 

consistency.  

IMPORTANT:

 Always hold jar with one hand when starting and while crushing ice. 

13.  PULSE: Press PULSE for short bursts of power. PULSE is activated as long as 

the button is pressed. PULSE action will cease as the button is released. Time 

the PULSES so that blades come to a complete stop before pressing the PULSE 

button again.
